by Emily Belle Freeman and David Butler

Over 70k YouTube users are subscribed to Emily Belle Freeman and David Butler’s Don’t Miss This YouTube channel. The goal isn’t that you won’t miss a single episode of the YouTube series but rather that you won’t miss the best parts of the scriptures studied in Come Follow Me.

Perfect for your family study and for individuals of all ages, the Don’t Miss This Study Journal, created in partnership with LDS Living, begins with a weekly study schedule and is filled with fun and interactive study guide sheets that complement the Don’t Miss This weekly YouTube videos.

Inside you’ll find prompts for taking notes, recording doctrinal insights, and keeping track of the context and content of your Come Follow Me study. With spaces dedicated for recording both daily and weekly impressions, this journal invites you to keep track of the great things God did in the lives of the people in the Book of Mormon and in your own story today.

My Thoughts
I have been a follower of Don't Miss This for most of last year. I love it! I am anxious to continue watching Emily Belle Freeman and David Butler as they delve into the study of the Book of Mormon this year.

One of my favorite things they offer is the study page-- it used to be that you had to print these yourself each week, but now they are in this amazing study journal.
You will also have access to more pages like a journal page, a schedule page, and a thought page.

I received my copy this morning and have already started on the first lesson. Wow is it powerful! So many insights that I have never thought about. I am truly grateful for this journal to help me as I focus on the Book of Mormon this year.

The Divine Gift of Forgiveness

by Neil L. Andersen

"As surely as the sun will rise tomorrow," Elder Neil L. Andersen promises, "the Savior's divine gifts of repentance and of forgiveness, offered in the beauty of His encompassing love, are certain for those who come unto Him with full purpose of heart."

In this book, Elder Andersen writes especially to those who are "awakening" unto God—those who are just beginning to discover or who seek the divine gifts and power of repentance and forgiveness in their lives.

The Divine Gift of Forgiveness is organized in such a way that readers can choose the section or chapter that applies most to them and study it without having to have read from cover to cover.

Leaders can similarly recommend specific chapters to those with whom they work. Filled with powerful doctrine along with stories and experiences, this book will help all readers become more devoted disciples of the Savior.

My Thoughts
I downloaded this book today and am anxious to start listening.

Sunday on Monday Podcast

Sunday on Monday Podcast

The SUNDAY on MONDAY Study Group, is a weekly podcast gathering that digs in to the scriptures from the current COME, FOLLOW ME study -

Hosted by Tammy Uzelac Hall, a former fulltime Seminary and Institute teacher and featuring women just like you who want to get more out of their weekly scripture study.

Broken into six segments so you may study a little each day or all at once-- your choice.

Did you know that the Book of Mormon doesn't begin with "I, Nephi?" In our first study group of 2020, Tammy and her friends Sharmaine and Tamu dig into the real beginning of the Book of Mormon — the introductory pages — and share how the entire purpose of the Book of Mormon can be found in just four simple words: Show - Know - Not Cast Off - Convince.
My Thoughts
I LOVE the Sunday on Monday Podcast! I adore listening to other people's personal feelings about what we are studying in the scriptures. It really helps me to have someone explain things. It also encourages me to study further on my own.

The Everlasting Light

by Elder David A. Bednar

During the Christmas season we are surrounded by lights—on trees, in and on our homes, all around us. In this Christmas message, Elder David A. Bednar invites us to remember He who is the source of all light by visualizing ourselves as participants in the Nephite Christmas story. This account of the first Christmas "helps us to learn and more fully understand that Jesus Christ is the 'Light which shineth in darkness,'...dispels fear, provides assurance and direction, and engenders enduring peace and joy." As we liken this story to ourselves, we can recognize "the everlasting Light" and be filled with the true spirit of Christmas.

My Thoughts
I love how Elder Bednar describes "light" and "dark" in the life of Christ and how he helps us visualize those times. It really helps to explain how Christ truly is "the source of all light." I highly recommend this booklet.

But she knew her chances at love would take a hit when she decided to leave her prestigious concertmaster position in the Cleveland Orchestra and move back home to Asheville, North Carolina. She justifies her actions with the fact that being concertmaster for the Asheville Symphony is better than no dates and no job.

But when Emma’s world collides with piano-playing YouTube sensation Elliott Hart, she finds herself falling for the way he plucks at her heartstrings. Despite a—ahem—not-so-good first impression, the two soon develop the beginnings of a rhythmic relationship. But when Elliott insists they can’t be together, it’s up to Emma to strike up a little romance. Will she be able to bring their two worlds into harmony, or will she only manage to get herself in trouble?

Witness for His Names

by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

When Elder Jeffrey R. Holland was first called to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, he quickly learned that "among the most important responsibilities [he] had was to be one of the 'special witness of the name of Christ in all the world'" (Doctrine and Covenants 107:23). This understanding prompted a habit in his scripture study of "jotting down or otherwise noting the references to Jesus's various names: in the standard works. With study, "the name of Christ was growing and swelling, expanding and emerging into the names of Christ."

In this beautiful book, Elder Holland shares his notes and insights about the many names of Christ he has studied in his twenty-five plus years as an Apostle. He promises that "as we study these titles to learn more about who He was and is, we will find ourselves learning more about who we are and what we may become." In so doing, we will gain a greater understanding of our covenants and how each of us can more fully bear witness of Christ's holy name.

My Thoughts
This is a perfect book to read at this most special times of the year. May studying the many names of the Lord bring peace to your mind and love to your heart.
