QUARANTINED IN THE OFFICE
by Lucy McConnell

I can't let the coronavirus get in the way of my big presentation.

But maybe I should have checked my email this morning...

Because now I'm quarantined in the office with my biggest rival--Andrew. If I didn't have to compete against him for every account, I'd probably fall in love with him.

He's that wonderful...

And we're all alone.

Find out what happens in this sweet, romantic, short read about uncertain times and finding the best parts of life when life is upside-down.

Read it today!

NOTE FROM AUTHOR
Dear Reader,
I'm pretty sure love can grow anywhere. It's grown on battlefields, in the trenches, it even re-grows in broken marriages. That's why I wanted to write the Quarantine Romance Short Reads. They are about five sisters, all over the globe, who are caught up in the COVID-19 pandemic.

My Thoughts
The world is crazy strange right now. It will forever be a time to remember. How fun that an author wrote some of what is going on down on paper. I was too intrigued and just had to get the book. Super short, super easy to read, super fun!

The Milkman's Son

THE MILKMAN'S SON
by Randy Lindsay

Raised in a family he bore little resemblance to, Randy was jokingly referred to as "the milkman's son." This warm and candid memoir chronicles the unraveling of a family secret, which begins with Randy's dad having dreams about deceased relatives urging him to complete their family tree. Randy agrees to help with the genealogy, but after his searching leads to a dead end, he takes a commercially available DNA test. The results reveal a possible genetic match to a sister, which begins a familial quest that forever changes the author's life.

Featuring a cast of vivid characters richly drawn from two distinct families, The Milkman's Son reveals one man's family tree, pulling back layers of new information as he gets closer to the truth—a biological father, siblings, and family members he never knew about.

This is a story of accepting, forgiving, and reuniting. Most importantly, it's about the bonds that connect us and the unconditional love that makes us feel like we belong.

My Thoughts
I was fascinated with this book! I am a fan of family skeleton's in the closet, so I loved the concept of finding a family secret within a DNA test. Told in such a compelling way, you will want to read to the very end. I highly recommend this book!

Fully expecting to be sent away, Juliet is surprised when the brusque and callous duke instead takes an interest in her.

Drawn to the duke in unguarded moments, Juliet finds herself more and more intrigued by the man who shuns Society's rules as completely as she does, and over the next few weeks, their unlikely friendship deepens into a connection neither expected.

PROMISED
by Leah Garriott

Margaret Brinton keeps her promises, and the one she is most determined to keep is the promise to protect her heart.

Fooled by love once before, Margaret vows never to be played the fool again. To keep her vow, she attends a notorious matchmaking party intent on securing the perfect marital match: a union of convenience to someone who could never affect her heart. She discovers a man who exceeds all her hopes in the handsome and obliging rake Mr. Northam.

There's only one problem. His meddling cousin, Lord Williams, won't leave Margaret alone. Condescending and high-handed, Lord Williams lectures and insults her. When she refuses to give heed to his counsel, he single-handedly ruins Margaret's chances for making a good match. With no reason to remain at the party, Margaret returns home to discover her father has promised her hand in marriage—to Lord Williams.

Under no condition will Margaret consent to marrying such an odious man. Yet as Lord Williams inserts himself into her everyday life, Margaret is forced to realize that Lord Williams is exactly the type of man she'd hoped to marry before she'd learned how much love hurt. Margaret is faced with her ultimate choice: keep the promises that protect her or break free of them for one more chance at love. Either way, she fears her heart will lose.

My Thoughts
I am in awe of each of the books in the Proper Romance Series! I loved the turmoil of the heart and the confusion of emotions portrayed in the story. If felt real and entranced me even more into the tale. I highly recommend this one!
