THE CONTINUOUS ATONEMENT
by Brad Wilcox

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is my FAVORITE book on the Atonement --
I HIGHLY recommend it for everyone!
One of the best stories in this book is about what happens to a young man when he blesses the sacrament, but makes a mistake-- Learn how Brother Wilcox connects that to the Savior and the atonement-- SO PROFOUND!
I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

He makes all the difference.

“I'll never do it again,” we say — and then we do it. In a world full of challenges, temptations, and even addictions, it is easy to lose hope for ourselves and those we love. During times of discouragement, we must remember that the purpose of the Atonement of Jesus Christ is not just to cleanse and console, but also to transform — and that takes time. Christ is not waiting at the finish line once we have done —all we can do.” He is with us every step of the way, and His Atonement will be available as long as the perfecting process takes — continually.

This book offers valuable insights about God, Christ, and our relationship with them. Each chapter contains clear examples that will uplift and motivate. Profound doctrine is made accessible and difficult concepts are presented in such simple ways that over and over the reader will say, “I've never thought of it like that before.” That kind of change of belief will help bring about a change of behavior.

Most members of the Church acknowledge that perfection is a long-term process, but overlook the continuous nature of Christ's Atonement that makes that process possible. Peace is found not by giving up or erasing the need to change, but by turning to the One who makes change possible and realizing that we get lots of chances to start again. So, if at first you don't succeed either, don't find excuses. Find the Savior and the blessings of His continuous Atonement.

CHANGED THROUGH HIS GRACE
by Brad Wilcox

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One of the greatest things I love about Brad Wilcox is that he teaches through stories. I love the stories he shares! This book will help you understand the enabling power of the Atonement-- GRACE.
Powerful! Thought-provoking! FANTASTIC BOOK!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Have you been changed by grace?"

In this insightful book, Brad Wilcox explores this life-altering question in depth. Christians throughout the centuries have used grace to describe God's favor, goodwill, and love. However, grace is more than a description of God's attributes. It is the help, power, and strength He offers as we choose to engage with Him in striving to attain those attributes.

Grace is different from the Atonement. It is not Christ's suffering, death, and resurrection. Rather, grace is the power that flows from those sacred moments. Grace is not a priesthood ordinance, but essential ordinances invite greater and greater endowments of grace into our lives. Grace is a divine gift, but like a gift, it must be received.

In this book, Brother Wilcox uses real-life stories and personal experience to demonstrate how we can choose to receive Christ's grace more fully throughout the entire perfecting process of life.

This book is filled with hope. God's help is not a prize for the righteous. It is the source of righteousness. His grace is not a reward for the worth. It is the source of worthiness. It is not waiting for us once we change. It is the power we need throughout the entire perfecting process.

THE CONTINUOUS ATONEMENT
FOR TEENS
by Brad Wilcox

When Brad Wilcox wrote The Continuous Atonement it changed the way we understood this most important role of our Savior. The atonement is not just a one-time-deal...it is continuous!

Now the book has been adapted for teens...giving them relevant stories and examples that more closely apply to where they are right now.

You will learn that it is okay to struggle along..."however long it takes."

You will read about "who needs a savior" and how "He's got us covered."

Wait until you read the story of the "one lone branch." WOW! SO GOOD!

And what does "after all we can do" really mean~

Sometimes we believe that we are not worthy for the Lord's help, or that we are broken --- beyond repair.

Brad Wilcox gently teaches that:

"Christ doesn't just make up the difference,
He makes ALL the difference."

A FANTASTIC BOOK!
Filled with a message of HOPE!
A better understanding awaits!

In this sweet book you will read the story of David and his reluctance to practice the piano~

Sound like someone you know?

"'But it's hard' and 'I keep hitting the wrong notes' complains David."

Do you make mistakes in this life?

Then David's mom turns this into a teaching moment about Jesus Christ and his atonement.

She has paid for the piano lessons so she can ask David to practice even if he makes mistakes.

Christ has also paid for us...

What does He ask of us?

Are we allowed to make mistakes?

Read to find out how David's mom answers :)

This wonderfully illustrated book will help you ponder the fact that...

"We aren't earning our way to heaven~ we are practicing for it."

A BEAUTIFUL BOOK with a HOPEFUL MESSAGE!
I LOVE the way Brad Wilcox teaches about this idea of...

"We don't need to be perfect right now,
we just have to keep practicing!"

EVERYONE should read this book!
This would make a fantastic family Easter book!

WOW!
SO WISH I COULD JUST COPY THE WHOLE BOOK FOR YOU!

AMAZING insights!
WONDERFUL lessons!
BEAUTIFUL examples!

Being a Christian is more than just going to church on Sundays....it is a way of life.

"7-days a week, 52 weeks a year, and throughout all the years of your life."

Using personal stories Brad Wilcox shows us the ways we can increase our becoming more Christian... our becoming more like Christ.

Simple, yet sometimes hard, practices that will shape us into who we were meant to be.

Things like:
* Live life with a sense of urgency and a sense of integrity.
* Never check your religion at the door.
* Become trusting and happy like a child.
* Face your people fears.
* and MORE

I REALLY LOVED this idea:

"Just as the earth went through 7 days of creation, we must also go through 7 days of re-creation...a process of being formed, divided, enlightened, beautified, and filled with life."

It is time to take a stand!
Let this book help you become a 7-day Christian!

52 Life-Changing Questions from the Book of Mormon w/ Book Giveaway

Book Details
Authors: John Hilton III and Brad Wilcox
Release Date: October 2013
Publisher: Deseret Book
Genre: Inspiration

WOW! WOW! and WOW!

We already know that Brad Wilcox and John Hilton III are phenomenal authors...

But this book has the ability to not only change lives, but to further our progression in becoming more Christ-like.

These two amazing men have found all of the questions that are in the book of Mormon...there are 543 to be exact.

52 questions are in this book as a 'read and ponder one question a week for a year.'

Can you even imagine what your life would be like 52 weeks from now if you really studied and answered questions like:

*Wherefore can ye doubt?
*Shall we not be diligent in keeping the commandments of the Lord?
*Whither shall I go?
*How is it that he cannot instruct me?
*and Why should my heart weep?

Stories and examples teach us how to apply each question to our own lives.

"The weak are not discovered by their questions~
but by when they stop questioning."

"People are not wrong when they doubt~
but when they fail to do something about their doubts."

The question I have been studying this week is: Why do ye smite your younger brother with a rod?

Do I smite my brother? Not with a rod~but sometimes I find myself smiting them with my tongue (gossiping) or my thoughts (especially if I am frustrated with someone)...

Very interesting...didn't realize what I was really doing...must work on that!

AMAZING BOOK!
SO WORTH STUDYING!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

The Continuous Conversion

Book Details:
Author: Brad Wilcox
Release Date: March 2013
Publisher: Deseret Book
Genre: Inspiration

Book Description:
Brad Wilcox states:
I wrote this book because I know too many people who are giving up! One discouraged friend said, "I can't do this Mormon thing. I've tried, and the expectations are just way too high." … I know returned missionaries who spent their entire missions teaching about the Atonement, but now they have made some mistakes and feel like the Atonement won't work for them. I know people who have gone to the temple to be sealed and then never returned. I know others who are feeling burned out in their callings. Too many Latter-day Saints feel like they will never measure up. I wanted to write something that will provide hope and motivation next time we or those we love are tempted to toss in the towel. I wanted to write something that would remind people why we do what we do and that it's worth it--not because of all we are earning, but because of all we are learning. Instead of just going through the motions, I wanted people to read this book and once again feel the emotions of discipleship. That's what they are missing. Whether the challenge is getting more out of the temple endowment or dealing with callings or juggling the many aspects of our lives and feeling like we are dropping too many balls, I wanted to provide a shot in the arm.

"I can't do this Mormon thing," a friend told Brad Wilcox. "I've tried, and the expectations are just way too high." And she's not alone in her thinking. Many people, as they feel themselves falling short of perfection, are tempted to quit trying. But are there only two options? Think of it this way: When a person is learning to play the piano, are the only two options performing at Carnegie Hall or quitting? Similarly, in mortality, are the only two choices being perfect or giving up? "No," writes Brad Wilcox. "Growth and development take time. Learning takes practice. Discipleship is a journey, and true conversion is a continuous process." In this hope-filled book, Brad shares his keen understanding and testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ as it relates to our own conversion. Conversion occurs, he says, "when we stop trying to earn heaven and start trying to learn it. . . As we take each little step to show faith, repent, make and live covenants, seek the Holy Ghost, and endure to the end, we are not paying our way into heaven. We are practicing for it."

My Review:
This is one of those books that needs to be read and then re-read over and over again.

Packed with so much information and guidance it will help someone seeking to truly convert to the gospel of Jesus Christ...not only to the gospel, but convert to Jesus Christ.

I love all the examples and stories within these pages.
I also love the way Brother Wilcox teaches and the little phrases he uses; for example:

"Heaven is not a prize for the perfect, but the future home of all who are willing to be perfected."

"We send missionaries to the Missionary Training Center, God has sent us to the Exaltation Training Center"

"True conversion is not instantaneous, it is continuous."

"Some Latter-day Saints go through all the right motions without feeling any of the emotions. They settle for rule following instead of religion, for obedience and sacrifice instead of consecration, for testimony instead of conversion, and for cultural Mormonism instead of the soul-transforming fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is time for a little zeal with our knowledge."

My very favorite section is where Brother Wilcox writes about "I'm afraid that when all the lessons on simplifying, prioritizing, and balancing are over I am left with only one option--juggling."

And as we juggle all we have been asked to do, if we go about doing God's work, and continue on the path to conversion, He will let us know which balls to keep in the air and which balls to let drop to the ground.

"The journey of conversion can seem daunting unless we remember that we are not alone."
