In this book, Elder David A. Bednar offers a compelling look at a pattern the Lord uses to bless His people: He works with us on an individual basis, one by one. Demonstrating that pattern as it occurs throughout the scriptures, in the lives of many Church leaders, and in his own ministry, Elder Bednar invites us to open our hearts to the Lord's love. He also teaches that by ministering as the Savior does, one by one, we can be more powerful instruments in His hands to accomplish His purposes.
From a "guided tour" through scriptural illustration to an array of touching personal accounts, this important new book offers hope and guidance for anyone who has ever wondered, "Do I matter to the Lord?"

Book Details
Author: David A. Bednar
Release Date: March 2014
Publisher: Deseret Book
Genre: Gospel Teachings

Elder David A. Bednar is a masterful teacher!

If you only read the first few pages you will be richly taught about the enabling power of the Atonement...

"I suspect that Church members are much more familiar with the nature of the redeeming and cleansing power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ...But we also need to appreciate that the Lord desires, through His Atonement and by the power of the Holy Ghost, to live in us--not only to direct us by also to empower us."

If you go on you will learn about the spiritual gift of personal peace.

"One of the greatest spiritual gifts we can be given as we press forward along the strait and narrow path is personal peace..."

Even during times of trial and testing we can have that peace.

Next you will be taught about Priesthood ordinances and willing obedience.

He also teaches us how to endure valiantly. I love that...we are not just to endure...but to endure valiantly!

And then he brings it all together from the 3 books in this series...

*An individual responsibility to increase in  LEARNING
*Turn from self to the Savior by ACTING in doctrine
*Press forward with a steadfastness in Christ with the power of BECOMING

Wide margins and end-of-chapter pages for note taking as you receive your own thoughts and feelings.

URL links for short videos of Elder Bednar teaching even more in a discussion group are included.

In this newest book he teaches how we can become more Christlike and how agency really works.

He also sets the pattern for effective teaching not only as teachers in church but as parents and even friendships.

The enclosed DVD has Elder Bednar answering questions about his book.

This book is definitely a MUST read!
