Fool's Deadly Gold

FOOL'S DEADLY GOLD
by Clair M. Poulson

Lauralyn LaPlant and her sister, Bridgette, could not be closer. Their shared passion for adventure draws them to scale a sheer cliff one fateful day, but despite their experienced precautions, Bridgette suffers a terrible accident and plummets to an untimely death.

Shattered by grief, Lauralyn soon makes a sobering discovery: this was no accident—her sister’s climbing rope was cut. But who wanted Bridgette dead, and why?

It’s up to Lauralyn and her grieving brother-in-law, Dade, to uncover the truth, even if it means putting themselves in the path of a ruthless killer.

As their search for clues leads them deep into the heart of Gold Country, they discover that in the world of prospecting, greed knows no limits.

My Thoughts
I loved this story! I really enjoyed the underlying theme of digging for gold. I have tried panning for gold twice and loved it. (I do realize they probably peppered the stream with gold flecks for us impressionable tourists). Yet, it was fun and there is a certain thrill of finding even a flake of that glittering gold! It was intriguing how many characters where in this book and how many were willing to kill to have the gold all to themselves. It was also fun to read all the love triangles that kept coming at you. The author truly does keep you guessing clear to the end. Another FANTASTIC READ that you simply must get!

  2. My husband and I have always been fascinated with the Gold Rush time period and the extreme lengths to which people went to get rich. We have panned for gold and even sluiced for it as well. That endeavor did not turn out as well because I fell into the mud and came up filthy! That truly was a fun and funny day. I would love to read and review FOOLS DEADLY GOLD and share it with my husband too. Thanks for the great giveaway.
