THE DECISION THAT CHANGED MY LIFE
by Ganel-Lyn Condie

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Each day we each make decisions--but do we know how far-reaching some of those decisions will be. This book beautifully shares the lives and decisions of some incredibly courageous people and the choices they have made. This book will inspire and uplift you as you journey towards some decisions you might have to make in your future--are you up to the task? LOVED. LOVED. LOVED. EACH STORY!
A phenomenal, must-read book!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Whether making life-changing choices or considering seemingly small day-to-day decisions, to choose oftentimes means to take a step into the unknown.

In The Decision That Changed My Life, author Ganel-Lyn Condie explores some of the life-altering choices made by sixteen notable and everyday Latter-day Saints and the chain of events that followed those decisions that affected other people's lives. From the broad impact of Janice Kapp Perry's course-changing decision to pursue music to the significance of Chris Carter's converting to the gospel as a young boy, each story demonstrates the potential ripple effects of our decisions.

While following the promptings of the Spirit without a full understanding of the outcome requires great faith, sometimes making that one decision has the power to change our lives—and the world.

Among others, these stories include:
* T.C. Christensen—his decision concerning The Cokeville Miracle
* Susan Easton Black—her decision to marry George Durrant
* Ed and Patricia Pinegar—their decision to start planning, prioritizing, and changing their lives
* Brad Wilcox—his reflection on his children's changes in the mission field
* Ty Mansfield—his decision concerning same-sex attraction

I CAN FORGIVE WITH GOD
by Ganel-Lyn Condie

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This book needs to be read by everyone! The stories are so tender-- It is amazing how life gives us challenges, but through those challenges we have a chance to grow. These women not only grew, but they forgave-- such a great gift. Forgiveness and healing are possible-- but only with God's help. These women will show you how. My heart goes out to each and every one of them. They are such great examples to me. If they can forgive then you and I can too. I highly recommend this book!
I CAN DO HARD THINGS
WITH GOD
by Ganel-Lyn Condie
We talk of emergency preparedness for the big earthquakes or world events. More often, it is the personal trials that hit close to home that are the most difficult.
If we wait to prepare spiritually until the storm hits, we may find ourselves blown over . . .The question is not “Will I face challenges?” but rather, “How will I deal with challenges when they come?”
I Can Do Hard Things with God is an inspiring collection of essays by a variety of LDS women who have confronted this very question.
Replete with examples of sisters who have faced trials of death and disability, infertility and illness, and so much more, this poignant anthology brings to life the fact that these women are prevailing against all odds.
They offer glimpses into lives that have been uplifted and enriched through stalwart preparation and unwavering faith, and readers will come to understand that they too can rely on God’s grace to strengthen them in their adversity.
My Review
I knew this book would be good just by the title. However, I was not prepared for HOW AMAZING this book is! I went to bed early one night not feeling well and I took this book with me. As I started reading, MY burdens were lightened. Reading these heartbreaking stories of problems with health, finances, family, mental illness, and loneliness I found that with my tears for them I was healing. I am SO GRATEFUL these women felt brave enough to share their stories. For if they can do what they are doing...well, then, I can do what I am being asked to do. I couldn't put the book down and stayed up very late reading about these women whom I wanted so badly to hug. They ARE doing hard things! But as they testify--they are able to do those hard things--with God. May we each turn to the Father who holds out His arms waiting for us to run to Him...for it is from Him that we gain our strength.
