Genre: Mystery

I LOVE reading books by this author!

She is so good at dropping hints...

The only problems is she drops hints leading you to believe that this one character did it....

BUT then...she drops hints leading you to believe it was another character who did it....

You HAVE to keep turning the pages...because you now don't know who did it and you are dying to find out!

Also along the way she drops little touches of romance which just makes the story more intriguing!

About the Author:
Kathi Oram Peterson loves to write edge-of-your-seat romantic suspense and young adult time travel. The constant thread she sews in both genres is faith in a higher power.

She works hard to entertain her readers with clean, uplifting stories. Her path to publication took a detour as she raised three children. During those years, Kathi read all the how-to books on writing that she could find. When her last child graduated high school, she went back to college and earned her BA in English. She was fortunate to do an internship for the University of Utah’s Continuum magazine, where she learned to edit and write articles in the “real” world.

Shortly after graduation, she was hired by a curriculum publisher to write and edit concept and biography books for children. She worked shoulder to shoulder with artists and computer programmers as she watched her children’s stories come to life. But the desire to write full-length novels called to her.

Leaving the workforce, she devoted herself to writing fiction. You can contact Kathi through her website, or her blog,

Author: Wilfred Aguila, M.D.
Release Date: 2011
Publisher: Weight Success Centers, LLC
Genre: Self-Help

I DEFINITELY fall into this cycle!
I do EXACTLY as it shows...

I overeat...
I feel guilty..
I feel anxious...
I feel depressed...
I overeat...

OR

Sometimes
I feel anxious, or angry, or tired, or frustrated, or hurt, or etc...
then I overeat (because I use food as my comfort/friend/drug of choice/etc)
then I feel guilty...
and the cycle starts all over again.

This book helps you realize that you MUST take care of the underlying reasons why you overeat...

Some really good thoughts here...

About the Author:

After leaving Miami, Dr. Aguila traveled to the city of Tampa where he went on to complete his surgical residency at the University of South Florida in 1996. Dr. Aguila held the honor of Chief Resident in Surgery from 1995 to 1996.

Following his years in residency, Dr. Aguila practiced general surgery in Brandon, Florida for eleven years, but his own struggle with obesity led him to focus on bariatric surgical procedures. Dr. Aguila struggled with his weight for nearly a decade before opening Surgical Bariatric Centers LLC in Tampa. He graciously shares his firsthand lessons in maintaining weight loss with his patients to help them overcome their battles with obesity.

Dr. Aguila actively spreads his weight loss and obesity expertise to reach out to Florida residents by joining local news networks and radio hosts for live informational interviews. He even hosts his own weekly radio show called “The Dr. A Show” where he shares tips and educational information to help listeners break the vicious cycle of obesity. Losing weight when you’re obese is about the personal journey of finding and experiencing a whole new healthier you. Dr. Aguila believes personal weight loss journeys go beyond prescribing diet and exercise to patients. This notion sparked Dr. Aguila to write his book Why I Don’t Lose Weight to provide readers with a wealth of information for making lifestyle changes that truly matter. Dr. Aguila believes weight loss success depends on an integrative approach that combines nutrition, fitness, self-help and wellness.

When he’s not fighting the good fight against obesity, Dr. Aguila resides in Tampa, Florida with his wife and three children where he actively participates in community events such as the American Cancer Society and the Rotary Club. I am not what you would call a "sports fan." And I will be honest...some of the football terms in this book went over my head.

But with that said...
I LOVED this book!
I LOVED the story of Eric and the trials he overcame and the determination he has...a man who gives it his all!

Every day I would say to my husband, who is a sports fan, did you know this about Eric? I am SO impressed by Eric! Let me tell you what Eric did!

I even found myself thinking...that's how I do things...give it my all...(Oh...to be as great as him...maybe someday... :)

There is so much to learn from this man...so much to understand...so much to admire...so much to help you strive to be a better person.

And the author tells it so well...don't miss out on reading this book!

His chivalry was strangling her. He thought he was helping her—and in truth, he was. She was in desperate straits. But as honorable as he was, he was also breaking her heart. Her attraction was drowning him. When World Champion rodeo cowboy Rossen Rockland and his friends rescue a young runaway who has been abused by her foster father and take her home to his parents’ ranch, he expects her to turn out to be a pain in the neck. And sometimes she is. It doesn’t take him long to figure out that she has way more than her allotment of troubles—and far more than her share of gifts. Lovely, talented, and ravingly brilliant, Kit Star is too young, unbelievably humble, and oh, so loveable. Knowing that she needs his protection and time to grow into her potential, Rossen also figures out that what she really is, is a pain in the heart. Watch for more of the Rockland Ranch Series!

The police didn't understand the danger, but she did. Her father had always been abusive, but now, with a ten million dollar Thoroughbred farm on the line, and a powerful bookie leaning on him, her father had become out of control. But how do you get away and take a world famous stallion with you? Carrie was getting desperate when a handsome and honorable but thoroughly cynical rodeo cowboy from Wyoming happened to show up with a horse trailer. He didn't ride a white horse, but he was definitely a knight in shining armor. He'll protect her from the mob, but can she survive falling in love with a bull rider?

"Give me a clean romance, humor and a good looking cowboy and I'm a happy girl. LDS fiction isn't always my favorite but I really enjoyed the characters and adventure in this book." ~Carol - Goodreads "There was plenty of action, adventure and danger to keep me guessing just how everything was going to turn out. The Trouble with Toads Book Blast

  The Trouble with Toads

trouble with toads
Once upon a time a young girl wanted revenge. But first, she wanted to be beautiful. Twelve-year-old Bettony has read enough stories that begin with ‘Once upon a time’ to know what happens to the ugly stepsisters at the end, and she’s determined to escape that fate by any means necessary—even by magic. Unfortunately, when it comes to magic, there is no place for regret, refunds, or exchanges. Even if you accidentally turn your older sister into a toad. If Bettony wants her Happily Ever After to end well, she’s going to have to find a way to turn her sister back into a person before their mother finds out she’s been dabbling with magic and grounds her for life. Tracking down the family magic turns out to be surprisingly easy. Now, if only it came with directions . . . THE TROUBLE WITH TOADS (45,000 words) is the first book in a new upper MG series The Secret Stepsister Society. The second book will be released Summer 2013.
danyelle
Author Danyelle Leafty Danyelle Leafty writes upper MG and YA fantasy, and is the author of THE FAIRY GODMOTHER DILEMMA series. Danyelle has always loved fairy tales, and prefers stories where someone gets eaten, or at the very least, transmogrified. Much of her inspiration has come from fairy tales, because as G.K. Chesterton so aptly states, "Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten." In her spare time, she collects dragons, talking frogs, and fairy godmothers. She also collects books, and one day hopes to make a house out of them. She enjoys learning languages, fiddling with her harp, and perfecting the fine art of mothering. (It's a lot like trying to herd chickens during a lightning storm while a goat stampede is going on.) One of her heroes is Albert Einstein, particularly for the following quote: "Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The most important thing is not to stop questioning."

Author: Bernard Poduska
Release Date: March 2013
Publisher: Covenant Communications
Genre: Biography

EVERYONE needs to read this story!
Although this sounds like a really good fiction story...this is a TRUE story!
A story of an amazing journey one man has made!

I love the how the book puts it:
This is a true story of one man's amazing journey from a homeless and hopeless childhood to a life of conversion and faith.

In 1947, due to lack of rent money, 8-year-old Bernard and his family are evicted.

Having no where to go the Poduska family join the ranks of the homeless.

For two years, one thing after another keeps this family on the run.

And with no money the only way to get from one place to another is to hitchhike.

But as Bernard, (Buddy), states at the end of the book:
You will never know what's on down the road until after you've made the journey; be grateful for any rides others may give you along the way, and whatever your destination, the journey is everything--make the most of it.

EVERYONE needs to read this story!

About the Author:
It has been a long journey; however, along with opposition in all things, God also gave us agency and the spiritual love and support we need to enable us to prevails. In my case, although I was declared “functionally illiterate” in high school, I managed to go on to earn a BS and an MS in psychology and a PhD in marriage and family therapy. I taught at colleges and universities for over thirty-five years, twenty-one of which were spent at Brigham Young University. I have also written a textbook on personality adjustment, a self-help book on managing stress, and two books on finances and relationships.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Julie's writings!

Her stories are SO GOOD!
This one is FABULOUS!
There is SO MUCH going on in this story!

Kennedy is running away from her past and has taken an assignment in a Afghanistan refugee camp. Forced to flee she is taken hostage by the Taliban when the boat she is on sinks. But she never gives up hope to help her friends that she has made.

Ethan is leading a double-spy life when is father is killed. Seeking revenge Ethan plunges into the depths of a personal vendetta. But then he sees Kennedy. Can he still take down the ones responsible for his fathers death and help her and her friends?

And on top of all of that al-Qaeda is seeking to obtain world dominance!

SO SO GOOD! A DEFINITE MUST READ!

What Julie says about herself:
What can I say about me? I have a wonderful husband and eight children whom I adore. I am currently working on my eighth book and hope to have it submitted very soon. I am Canadian, but married an American and settled in the States. I have the best of both worlds! I love the number eight and my claim to fame is that I met Princess Diana when I was twelve years old. I love to travel and my favorite cities are probably Athens, Paris, Ottawa, and London. I would love to visit Australia and Scotland someday. And New Zealand. Ooh, and Ireland.

Well, you get the picture. I’m learning to play the bagpipes and I’m not very good at it, (I think I sound like a sick moose) but I’m working on it. I love to read, write, teach, play volleyball, and take long bubble baths (which doesn’t happen too often, but I love it when it does). I have the most amazing supportive family and being a published author fulfilled a lifelong dream.

I blog every day at http://ldswritermom.blogspot.com about being LDS, a mother, and a writer. Every Friday I have a national editor, affectionately called Ms. Shreditor who critiques first pages submitted by you! Marriage 101 For Men

Author: Sherri Mills
Release Date: May 2013
Publisher: Plain Sight Publishing
Genre: Self-Help

This book gives you A LOT to think about!

It would be very beneficial for husbands and wives to read this together and talk about it. Some very interesting ideas and suggestions are in this book!

The main idea of this book is to COMMUNICATE with your spouse. Tell them how you feel, especially about household work and the load each of you are carrying.

Do you feel you are doing more than you can handle.

Would you like more help from your spouse.

Can you see a better way to help each other feel appreciated and loved.

I LOVE that a lot of the stories in this book come from BOTH the husbands and the wives point of view!

I agree that taking care of house and kids is the duty of BOTH spouses.

We are PARTNERS and we are in this TOGETHER!

About the Author
Sherri Mills has been a hairdresser for over 45 years. She has had her own salon long enough to see life happen before her very eyes. She has listened to real-life problems and followed real-life outcomes—-successes and failures—and through several generations, longer and more extensively than marriage counselors can.

In her practice she has seen the pain from too many divorces that didn’t have to happen. She has been obsessed with trying to save as many marriages as she can.

Sherri’s first book, ‘I Almost Divorced my Husband but I Went on Strike Instead,’ was written to women, with detailed instructions on how to deal with the double-duty double standard of householder work and how to have more appreciation for their own husbands.

Men wanted instructions of their own, so Sherri outlined in this book real solutions to issues that sabotage marital accord. The book is written in such a manner as to make sense to the male partner in the marriage.

She does it because the proceeds will go to help save the farms in her small town of Shelter Springs.

When Luke is cast as the final bachelor, Taycee goes to great lengths to get him voted off the show.

Her heart cannot take another rejection from her big brother's best friend.

But Luke has other plans as he realized that the silly little sister with the braces has grown up.

Will the final vote from the viewers put them together?

A VERY FUN READ!

But she recently figured out how yeast works and can now make homemade bread, which she is really good at eating.
