PHENOMENAL WRITING!
You are quickly pulled into the story...wanting to know what happens next!
In life we have a beginning time, a middle time, and an end time..
It is in the middle time that Alyssa finds herself now...
The middle time of life....
AND the middle time of care-giving...
In life we have a beginning time, a middle time, and an end time..
It is in the middle time that Alyssa finds herself now...
The middle time of life....
AND the middle time of care-giving...
Still taking care of her children...and now taking care of her parent (her mother-in-law)
Life gets even crazier as she finds that her son is struggling, and she has to move her family to a new state with new schools, and her mother-in-law is showing signs of dementia and Alzheimer disease.
Wishing she could go back to a simpler time...
She realizes that this is her time to truly take care of her family...immediate and extended.
But that doesn't make this time and easy time.
Journey with Alyssa as she takes the time to anguish with the "pain of a missionary son who is questioning, a young teen who is being bullied, a daughter who is distant, a husband who is struggling, and a mother-in-law who is now hoarding and forgetting."
Is there 'STILL TIME' to keep everything "from falling apart?"
I LOVE these 'timely thoughts' from the book:
It's All About Time
"You can have a good time at a set time when you have time to kill. If you have quality time before you serve your time you might even make it big time. No matter how time flies, you will have to put your pants on one leg at a time like everyone else whether you're having the time of your life or falling on hard times. If it catches you at a bad time, you'll have a devil of a time, but maybe you'll have better luck next time. And a stitch in time might give you all the time in the world. You probably won't even have time to catch your breath because no matter how you stall for time, it's always a fight against time. Eventually you'll run out of time and it'll be time to call it a night. You'll wish for a time out, but only time will tell. All because it's only a matter of time.
A FANTASTIC READ!
You will chuckle, weep, and rejoice with Alyssa and her family.
About the Author
When Maria Hoagland is not working at her computer, she can be found walking barefoot in soft grass, remodeling houses with her husband, or enjoying campfires with their three children. She loves crunching leaves in the fall, stealing cookie dough from the mixing bowl, and listening to musicals on her iPod. Maria earned her degree at Brigham Young University, and although she adores mountain resorts near her Idaho home, she is no longer a fan of ice skating.
(A review copy was provided, however, all reviews are of my own opinion :)
