Book Details
Authors: Joan Holub & Suzanne Williams
Release Date: August 2013
Publisher: Aladdin
Genre: Middle Mythology

Persephone the Daring continues the series that turns Greek mythology heroes into modern day teenagers going to school and learning all about life and friendship.

In Greek mythology Persephone (pur-SEF-uh-nee) is kidnapped by Hades, the god of the underworld. Her mother, the goddess of the harvest, braves a rescue to bring Persephone home.

Hades agrees to let Persephone go home for one half of the year during spring and summer when flowers bloom. The half of the year where Persephone is with Hades the world knows the barren seasons of fall and winter.

In the Goddess Girls series Persephone is a typical teen-age girl with friends and dates and school.
She is know as the "dependable one" according to the Teen Scrollazine poll.

When a girl's sleep-over truth or dare game is played Persephone will be given the dare to get the autograph of mortal rock star Orpheus.

Will she be the dependable one or can she turn into the daring one?

With the help of backup singer Eurydice, Persephone tries to be a little more daring.

But when Eurydice is trapped in the Underworld and Hades birthday present comes to bloom, plans are formed, music fans are entertained, and Persephone strengthens her friendship with Hades.

Amazing writing!
Fun story!
Really good series!

Pandora the Curious

This is a fun modern spin on Greek Mythology.

Pandora opens a box...sounds familiar?

She is just curious...did you notice her bangs make questions marks?

From the box come beautiful colored bubbles.

As the bubbles "pop," the person that got "hit" gets the bubbles characteristic.

The only problem is that these bubbles carry trouble-making characteristics such as being a ditz, being vain, and being greedy.

Only one more bubble is left in the box...and Zeus, the principle at Mount Olympus Academy, has just announced a school-wide science fair.

What will happen if the last bubble escapes?

Can Pandora reverse the spell that has been cast upon her fellow students?

A cute, cute read that will leave you seeking to know more about Greek Mythology.
