THE VICAR'S DAUGHTER
by Josi S. Kilpack

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. THIS. BOOK!
A fun telling of a girl who just wants love and desires to help her sister gain it before she can. But, as all things go, it doesn't go as planned and becomes a thing that must be corrected. Cassie tries so hard. I adore how this all plays out. Definitely a MUST-READ!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Cassie, the youngest of six daughters in the Wilton family, is bold, bright, and ready to enter society. There's only one problem: her older sister Lenora, whose extreme shyness prevents her from attending many social events. Lenora is now entering her third season, and Cassie has no choice except to wait her turn.

Evan Glenside, a soft-spoken, East London clerk, has just been named his great-uncle's heir and, though he is eager to learn all that will be required of him, he struggles to feel accepted.

A chance meeting between Evan and Lenora promises to change everything, but when Lenora proves too shy to pursue the relationship, Cassie begins to write Mr. Glenside letters in the name of her sister but her good intentions may lead to disaster.

As secrets are revealed, the hearts of Cassie, Evan, and Lenora are tested. Will the final letter sent by the vicar's daughter be able to reunite the sisters as well as unite Evan with his true love?

THE SECRET OF THE INDIA ORCHID
by Nancy Campbell Allen

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I so ADORE this book! What a FANTASTIC read!
Anthony and Sophia are perfect characters with some intriguing interactions that you will so enjoy. This book has it all-- romance, secrets, spies, a missing person, kidnapping, exotic location, etc.
This one is a definite must-read!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Anthony Blake is in love with his best friend's sister, Sophia Elliot. But his plans to court her are put on hold when he is forced to resume his role as an undercover spy for the Crown. A secret document listing the names of the entire network of British spies-including his own-has been stolen. To protect Sophia, Anthony cuts off all ties to her and exchanges his life as an honorable earl for the facade of a flirtatious playboy.

Heartbroken and confused, Sophia travels to India, hoping to find healing in one of the most exotic regions of the British Empire. But the exotic land isn't as restful as she had hoped. Instead, she finds herself embroiled in a mystery of a missing sea captain, a possible murder, and a plot that could involve the prince of India. And when Anthony appears at the British Residency, asking questions and keeping his distance from her, she is stunned.

She still loves him, and, in her heart, she knows he loves her too. But how can she rebuild her relationship with him if he won't confide in her? Does she dare offer her heart to him a second time, or will their love be lost under the India sun?"

LOVE, JANE
by Raneé S. Clark

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What a FUN book!
This book hit really close to home as I, too, waited for a missionary-- It is hard to put your life on hold while the other person serves with all their heart, might, and mind. Oftentimes someone else comes along and helps pass the time-- But with that passing comes the chance for a new relationship to be formed. I am grateful I made the choice I did. What choice will Sean make???
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Jane Reeves and Sean O’Callaghan seem to be a match made in heaven—but the timing is all wrong. Jane has her heart set on serving a mission, and she can’t delay telling Sean the news any longer: not only has she quietly submitted her mission papers, but she’s also leaving in a month . . . for Alaska.

Shocked and devastated, Sean struggles to come to terms with Jane’s decision. Unable to deny the depth of their feelings for one another, Sean makes a promise to wait for her. Life unfolds for both Jane and Sean, with communications limited to weekly e-mails.

But with just a few months left in Jane’s mission, Sean’s messages stop. When she receives the dreaded “Dear Jane” breakup, along with the news that she has been replaced by Sean’s former flame, Jane knows the future she envisioned now belongs to another woman.

But upon her return home, Jane quickly realizes some things are worth fighting for—perhaps most of all, a shot at true love.

A FINE GENTLEMAN
by Sarah M. Eden

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sarah Eden is brilliant! You will so adore the witty manipulations at the beginning of the book and the payback that comes later :)
And then there is the whole mystery of trying to find Mariposa's family- Such a fun book! A great addition to the Jonquil Brother's series! Do not miss this one! LOVED. LOVED. LOVED. IT!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

London barrister Jason Jonquil has spent his entire life working to establish his identity as a gentleman, a man of refinement like his father and brothers. But when fiery Spanish beauty Mariposa Thornton walks into his office, he finds himself losing his grasp on his dignified character. The woman is infuriating, pushing him to the limit of his legendary patience. However, her case seems simple enough—a small matter of inheritance. Or so he believes.

Once a well-born lady, Mariposa fought to survive the brutalities of Napoleon’s war on Spain. She braved horrific perils and undertook dangerous missions on behalf of those fighting against the invading French army. But her greatest battle still lies ahead: after being separated from her family, Mariposa sets in motion a plan to reunite with her loved ones in England. To avoid drawing the attention of the French, Mariposa dons a carefully crafted persona to conceal her true purpose. As Jason and Mariposa are drawn together by the case, they come to know the people beneath the masks they both wear.

When the truth of Mariposa’s quest is revealed, the couple is pulled into a mystery that will test the limits of their courage—and expose the true desire of their hearts.

AN UNSEEN ANGEL
by Alissa Parker

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WOW! I cannot even image what this mother has gone through. Loss is hard and to lose a child-- especially in this way--
I am extremely grateful Alissa has shared her story. Told in such a beautiful, inspiring way-- this story will stay with you for a long time after the last page is turned. Definitely worth reading!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

When Alissa Parker lost her daughter Emilie in the Sandy Hook Elementary mass shooting, she started a life-changing journey to answer soul-searching questions about faith, hope, and healing. As she sought for the peace and comfort that could help mend her broken heart, she learned, step by step, how to open her heart to God's Grace and will.

One step brought her face to face with the shooter's father, where in a pivotal and poignant meeting, she was given an opportunity to forgive. Another step brought her into the sheltering compassion of her community as family, friends, and even strangers reached out to buoy her up with their shared faith. And several miraculous manifestations of Emilie's continued presence and influence lifted her heart and will validate the faith of every Christian.

The story of Alissa and Emilie reminds us that the bonds of love continue beyond this life and that despite tragedy and heartache, we can find strength in our family and our faith.
